This is why I love traveling with my best friend...

Michal & I went to Wroclaw for Easter to spend the holiday with his Mom.  It takes about 5-6 hours, by train, to get to his hometown & on the way over Michal decided to be spontaneous and show me how much fun riding trains in Europe can be.
When he started to close the curtains and the blinds, I should have known that he had something up his sleeve.
The next thing I know, he was climbing and swinging around - trying to climb up on the luggage racks.
I was laughing so hard.  I think it was one of those "you had to be there" moments for it to be as humorous as it was to me.  But my stomach and cheeks hurt the next day from laughing so much as Michal entertained me and showed me how to climb up on the racks.  It's a lot more difficult than it looks.
I figured that I couldn't miss out on the fun.  So I went ahead and decided to try to climb up as well.  The pictures of me trying to make it up there are quite blurry - so they didn't make the cut for the blog.  But when it was my turn, Michal laughed just as hard as I did on his go-around.

I finally made it up there, and I would have to conclude that it is way more comfortable up there than on the seats that our compartment contained.  We've decided that from now on - anyone who comes out to visit us HAS to have this experience of climbing up on the luggage racks and taking a nap up there.
The very best (and most entertaining part) is watching the person try to get down.  It's more difficult than getting up there.  Both Michal & I got stuck on the way back down.

Who doesn't love to laugh?  This little mischievous side of Michal made me realize how much fun he is to have around and how he tried to make my trip enjoyable.  I never know what I am going to get with him and I'm excited to find out what crazy things he will come up with on our next train ride!
