Things I don't want to forget - 5 months

I feel that the major difference between four months and five months is that you want to be involved and doing everything that we are doing.  It doesn't matter what it is...

... drinking from our cups

... playing games with us
... showering with Mommy
(not really)...
... riding the tram
... or sleeping with us

Of course, there are a lot of things that you still enjoy doing too!
 ~ Flying Baby. ~
~Playing with straps. ~

~ Sleeping like Daddy. ~
~ Your bath time. ~
~ And taking pictures with Mommy. ~
You became really mobile this month and when I would set you down to play, you would make your way under the bed somehow.  Or you would try to tip over your jungle mat play set. You could just tell that there was that michevious look in your eyes!

This month - I lost your favorite toy TWICE!  Once it accidentally got swooped up at a Baby Shower, being mistaken as a gift.  The other time, we left it at someone's house who had us over for dinner. You are one lucky girl, because I was able to get it back both times!  And I was super grateful that I was because this is by far, your favorite toy!
You became enamored and fascinated by Badger.  You always wanted to touch him, get his attention, and have him lick you.  When he does lick you - you just giggle and squeal.  You are in heaven with this dog (and most all dogs).  I hope that you continue to love dogs and are able to talk Daddy into getting one someday.
This month you were able to meet Elder Oaks for the first time.  You didn't want to take your eyes off of him.  It's like you were in a trance.  Rest assured, he thought you were adorable and loved the attention he got from you as well.

Things I don't want to forget - 4 months

This may very well be the last picture I was able to snap of you sitting still in that chair.  Soon you become very mobile.
When we are standing in line, you like to look at those behind you and flirt with them.  It doesn't matter who they are - I think it's your personal goal to get them to give you some attention.  It works every time.
Contrarily, when people want to give you attention - sometimes your mind is elsewhere.  You want to explore pretty things.
You love to be "flying baby".

Since we live right next to the Brigham Young Park, we go on Tuesday's and Friday's for their free concerts.  You are in heaven at these concerts as you get to be outside, get attention from others, and stay up later than normal!

The only time we get to shower or keep you distracted for 10 minutes while we accomplish something else is when we put Teletubbies on.  You love it until you realize that you are trying to touch a flat screen and get frustrated.
You absolutely love to go on walks.  And you try to be so sneaky and play with anything that we put in the side pockets.  You find a way to take it out and chew on it.

You also LOVE being outside of your car seat.
While I get to take naps with you more often, you still let your Daddy take naps with you too!

At your four month appointment the doctor was so impressed with how well you were doing.  Your stats were amazing.  Daddy joked with the nurse about how you were in the 105 percentile for your height.  And the nurse affirmed that we weren't far off as you appeared to be in the 115 percentile instead.
Like the picture above, you learned how to grab your feet and absolutely LOVE to play with your feet. You are always holding on to them and enjoy tasting them.
You are always, always, always happy!
This month, I may have gone a bit overboard and bought you seven hats.  I didn't know which ones I liked the most, so I decided to let all my facebook friends decide.  While the winners were #1, #2, and #6 (I believe because they all had straps), I decided to keep them all... because they were all different sizes.

The part that I love the most about you modeling these hats is that you have different facial expressions in almost every picture.  You didn't get fussy when I tried them on you, and you didn't try to take them off.  You are always such a good sport and so easy going.

Now that you are a bit older, we take you a lot more places and you love to go anywhere we do...
... including shopping!

This happened on one particular shopping trip.  It was the ONLY time you have gotten me, but man, you sure got me good!  I had to make an impulse purchase because I can't walk around in white shorts with... ahem... stains on them.
Even though you poop on me, your smiles definitely make up for it! It is so hard to be upset at you when you are just such a happy baby!

Lastly, this month you have found a fascination with straps, tags, or strings. We can place you surrounded by a million toys and you prefer to investigate all the straps, tags, and strings that are connected to the toys, blankets, or whatever else is nearby.

Things I don't want to forget - 3 months

You are now 3 months old... and you still sleep with your arms above your head.

And speaking of sleeping, you have now decided that you don't like the green pacifiers anymore, now you much prefer the "regular" ones.  In addition to pacifiers, you love to be swaddled.  Almost instantly you fall asleep as soon as you are swaddled and have a pacifier to suck on.
Of course, you also sleep well when you think that you're close to mommy, or when you have your stuffed animals to protect.
But you really love sleeping with me best of all!

Lily, you still give us great smiles all the time.  We will do just about anything to get you to smile big for us.

Looking back on pictures, I realized this is also when you started to suck on two fingers, and this is also around the time where you started to refuse a pacifier in preference to your first two left fingers.  You suck on them to let me know "I am tired."  But it took me about a month to get the hint from you.
In addition to fingers entering your mouth, you are starting to explore and put "new" things in your mouth (such as our fingers, and your favorite ball).

Tummy time is no longer a nightmare.  Enough Said.

Daddy starts his indoctrination of Soccer "football".

You continue to love going to the store and just looking at everything.
But most of all, you love any attention that we will give you.
