Lily,
I'm starting to see your personality come out more and more. In addition, I'm also starting to see you gain more and more independence.
Bath time is so much fun. For some reason, you now think you are a froggie and enjoy splashing on your tummy.
Sometimes I will do anything, anything, to keep you quiet in your car seat. Even if it means a whole lot of clean up once we get home!
Since Daddy is working so often and we hardly get to see him, we plan for lunch dates. And you are always surprising us during our lunch dates. Take, for example, the new obsession with having as many hair-bows as possible in your hair. And... if one falls out, you want to replace it with four more.
And... lunch dates aren't the only thing that's fun and exciting. You have discovered... COSTCO!
We ride animals...
... and hug them too...
... and you totally act like you own the place. And, guess what, everyone that works there KNOWS it because they give you more attention than even the highest paying customers! I get such special treatment when you are around.
And this month... you have been quite the helper!
- Mowing the Lawn -
- Sticking all of Mommy's sewing pins as far into the carpet as they will go. -
- Putting anything of Mommy's inside the toilet. -
- Figuring out new ways to utilize Mommy's hair curlers... or at least keeping her from using them when she needs them! -
- And... taking out as many pairs of Mommy's shoes (as possible) and organizing them all by yourself. I was quite impressed with your organization skills. I think you may be taking after your Mommy. -
This month we had our first (walkable) Halloween. And you are such a cute Halloween'ess'. I think you win the prize for the cutest dressed up child!
Lily,
We also love how much you still love to climb up on everything, and get rides... anywhere you go!
Or how much you still love all the inanimate mannequins in all the stores we go to...
...in addition to all the bunnies, and animals that we go to visit!
And... this month, you've taken quite the interest in dressing yourself. Things have gotten quite comical and interesting, and I'm sure the best is yet to come!
Going to stores gets more and more fun... but also takes more and more time... every time.
You love to play with the toys, explore the cabinets, climb on all the chairs, or create a mess that Mommy gets to clean up. It's okay though, because when you give me a hug and say "Thank-You", I'd do anything in the world for you!
Discovering how much you love to draw (even on the couch), I decided it was time to take your creativity outside. It was a wild success and now you have so much fun creating artistic drawings - it's a shame it's starting to get cold again.
And lastly - you have found new "creative" ways to watch your "SHOW." It's mostly from you watching what other children do. This is the most tame example... now if we could just get you to stop picking your nose (something... else... that you learned in Nursery).
To be continued... 21 months.
