Adventures in our Neighborhood

I love to go on walks in my neighborhood... unfortunately, unless we are chasing "big trucks" around... or have animals that we can see... Lily gets bored of our walks.  Often times our walks consist of Marco in the baby carrier on me, Lily in the stroller with an iPhone or iPad watching a Disney movie... and me becoming more entertained than the both of them by our surroundings.

Monday walks are entertaining.  Who doesn't love playing hide-and-seek with the garbage truck?

And then lately they decided to rip up the asphalt on our road and repave our road (along with several other roads along our walking route).  So it gave us a lot of new "big trucks" to look at and admire... and less phone time for Lily.

On one specific road they decided to add sewer pipes... and it has taken them five weeks (and as of 7/19 they still aren't done)... but Lily is in awe and wonder as we walk by these big different trucks.

When trucks aren't around we go hunting for different animals.  So far we have seen deer, bunnies, geese, cows, dogs, cats, a turtle, and a few dead snakes and shed snake skins.

We know that Lily enjoys the animals when she waves to them and says hello.  I know it's not the North Carolina zoo or anything, but I'm trying... and our neighborhood is sure becoming a close second!

However, it doesn't matter what surrounds us... and what their is to see... Marco is one happy camper.
