Things I don't want to forget - 10 Months

Oh my goodness Lily - you are so dang cute!
This month wearing hats was a MUST as the weather turned colder in December.  So we put them on you constantly, and you - clever, clever little girl - have learned how to take them off of your head.  When the hats don't bother you, you look adorable - and strangers often comment on your cute hats and wonder where we got them, so they can purchase some for the grandkids, or nieces/nephews that are important in their lives.

Daddy had the magic touch while flying with you on the airplane!  He was able to put you to sleep - easy peasy - while I just absolutely could not.
But all the airline customers commented to us that you were any enjoyable baby to sit next to on all our flight legs.  Also, you were so funny on the flights, you just wanted everyone to give you attention.  You really are so in tune with other babies and children.  You love reaching out to them and interacting with them and it shows.

I was a little disappointed when you didn't find much pleasure in ripping open Christmas gifts.  I think that you were confused as to what the purpose of wrapping paper was. Once the gifts were opened up, you just wanted to play with the toys - you had no interest in opening them... oh well, maybe next year.

Christmas was really special this year with you here. I read a quote once that said,
"In the eyes of children we find the joy of Christmas.  in their hearts we find its meaning."
That quote couldn't be more true this year for me.

After the new year, you continue on with your routine of doing your favorite things... including,
 - Getting into everything...
 - Being determined when you want to find your favorite toy

- Bath time with your doll
 - You now love hanging upside down
 - You still love giving kisses when Mommy asks for a "kiss-kiss."
- You do anything possible to get away from Mommy and Daddy during Church.
 - You STILL love ripping up tissues into over a million little pieces.
 - You have a new "doll" (Merida from 'Brave') that you love kissing and talking to.
 - and you now love climbing atop of Mommy's back and taking Horsey-Rides.
All these new nuances of yours are keeping me on my feet.  It's fun to see your personality come out more and more each month.
